Genesis 31

Memorize God’s Word: “Now then, whatever God has said to you, do it.” Genesis 31:16b

“Now, Jacob heard the words of Laban’s sons, saying, “Jacob has taken away all that was our father’s, and from what was our fathers he has acquired all this wealth.” And Jacob saw the countenance of Laban and indeed it was not favorable toward him as before. Then the Lord said to Jacob, Return to the land of your fathers and to your family and I will be with you.” Genesis 31:1-3

These 3 little verses set the scene for our entire week of study. Ask yourself these question…

What has changed?

Who will be affected by this twist in our story?

What is God’s role in this? What promise does God speak?

The way we view these first 3 verses will shape the rest of our lesson. Even if you’ve already answered the questions in your study, I challenge you to take some time and sit with these verses.

What is God saying to you personally?
