“Now, Jacob heard the words of Laban’s sons, saying, “Jacob has taken away all that was our father’s, and from what was our fathers he has acquired all this wealth.” And Jacob saw the countenance of Laban and indeed it was not favorable toward him as before. Then the Lord said to Jacob, Return to the land of your fathers and to your family and I will be with you.” Genesis 31:1-3

Gilead: (part of modern Jordan) a mountainous region bounded on the west by the Jordan, on the north by Bashan, on the east by the Arabian plateau, and on the south by Moab and Ammon; sometimes called ‘Mount Gilead’ or the ‘land of Gilead’.
