Welcome!!

We are so excited to get this ball rolling and dive deep into First Samuel with you! At the bottom of this post is the link to the first audio recording from Jen Wilkin at the end of this email. You will listen to this teaching as you take notes for the WEEK ONE section in your book. Every other lesson beyond this first one you will listen to the audio teaching AFTER you do that week's homework. This first week you will need to do both Week One and Week Two. If you are joining us on October 21, you will have completed Weeks One, Two, and Three. After this it is only one lesson a week I promise! We just have to get that cute little intro out of the way.

Please make room in your schedule to do your homework. That's what this is all about, right? Hearing from God in His Word and prayer. Again, it's okay to not know the answer, just do your very best and reach out to myself, Kandice, or Angie, if you need to! We are more than willing to help!

Please do your best to not use outside resources until AFTER we meet that way we all are coming informed only by the Word of God. Use other translations and search Blue Letter Bible to define words as needed, but please stay away from any kind of commentaries until after our meeting!

Remember, always always always, start your study by asking the Holy Spirit to help you understand and learn. If it gets hard ask Him to help! He is with you! He may direct you to reach out and that's wonderful!

Please be aware that all of these women gathered together to grow in their relationship with God and other women, REALLY makes the enemy mad. He is going to attack, so be ready! Jesus told us that satan wants to steal from us, kill us, an destroy us. But our God is GREATER! Jesus came to give us LIFE of abundance and JOY! He has given us the tools necessary to stand firm and FIGHT BACK! Take some time and read Ephesians 6:10-18. Put on your armor and take up your swords and fight the good fight ladies! Reach out to us and the other women in your group to pray for you as it is needed.

Okay, here we go!
