HEART of GRATITUDE

We are recycling this theme with thanksgiving upon us!! This week and in your small group time pray over these specific items regarding the theme of having a heart of gratitude. Don’t limit yourself to this, it is just a guide and suggestion.

  • 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18 says, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

  • Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in dedicating 3-5 days of prayer; solely to giving thanks or expressing gratitude (no matter what circumstances of life surround you)

  • Choose 3 attributes of God, thank Him and praise Him for the ways these attributes are revealed or manifested.

  • Spend some time these next two weeks grab a journal, slow down, and start a gratitude list and jot down 2-3 things each day. Maybe you write one little bit of information, like “My family.” Or maybe you want to sit and record the details of why you are grateful for them! Either way do so in prayer before God and praise Him!

EXAMPLE TO SHOW YOU HOW SIMPLE IT CAN BE! DON’T OVER COMPLICATE THE “PRAYER FOCUS” EACH WEEK! <3

THANK YOU, GOD, THAT IN YOUR WORD YOU DON’T ASK US TO BE HAPPY WITH ALL OF OUR CIRCUMSTANCES BUT TO GIVE YOU THANKS IN ALL OUR CIRCUMSTANCES. FATHER, YOU ARE FAITHFUL AND YOU ARE TRUSTWORTHY. WE CAST ALL OF OUR CARES ON YOU, FOR YOU ARE GOOD. THANK YOU THAT YOU ARE EL ROI, THE GOD WHO HEARS.

  • OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD BOXES ARE DUE BACK THIS SUNDAY THE 21ST BY NOON!!!!

  • THIS THURSDAY November 18th, at 6:00 pm. We will be joining Penny Youtsey to pack boxes with the items that Yeso and Yucca collect. BRING A FINGER FOOD TO SHARE AND A $20 GIFT FOR A GIFT EXCHANGE!

  • It has come to our attention that there is local family in need, and after prayer and discussion, we have decided we are going to be gathering wish lists for the 5 children and providing “Christmas” for them this year. THESE LISTS WILL BE GOING OUT TO YOUR SMALL GROUP LEADERS TO DISTRIBUTE SOON!!!
