Obedience
This week and in your small group time pray over these specific items regarding the theme of walking in obedience. Don’t limit yourself to this, it is just a guide and suggestion.
Pray that God would create in you an obedient heart.
Ask the Holy Spirit to show you specifically the people in your life that He has called you to share the gospel with.
Pray that when God speaks you will simply respond with “here I am”.
Pray for faith to respond to the Holy Spirit’s prompting even if you don’t know all the details and if the situation makes you uncomfortable.
Be real, talk to God about your fears, your insecurities, and anything else that might be holding you back from witnessing about Jesus.
EXAMPLE TO SHOW YOU HOW SIMPLE IT CAN BE! DON’T OVER COMPLICATE THE “PRAYER FOCUS” EACH WEEK! <3
God! Sometimes I forget how lucky I am. You chose me. You allow me to be a part of the wondrous work that You set into place before the beginning of time! A plan to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ to all the ends of the earth... I get to have a part in that! Holy Spirit, I ask that You stir an excitement in me like never before! May I be like a kid on the edge of their seat swinging their arm in the air saying “pick me!” May nothing hold me back from saying “here I am” no matter what You ask of me God, no matter the lack of details or the craziness of it. Give me the faith to trust that whatever You ask will be good for me! Witnessing about You gives Your people pleasure and joy like nothing else, true fulfillment! God, this is your design and I say YES! I surrender to you all my fears and insecurities. Use my weaknesses to proclaim your MIGHTINESS! Show me exactly where you want me to go, who you want me to see, and what you want me to say and do. Thank you for allowing me to be part of this beautiful family. I love you God. In Jesus Name, let it be...Amen
The holidays are quickly approaching! Devoted has decided to help with Operation Christmas Child this year! We will be challenging each of you to fill as many boxes as God calls you to. Please be praying over what God is calling us to do, for this ministry, and all the sweet babies that will receive a box this year. Boxes HAVE to be back to Faith Baptist by November 21st
We will also be joining Penny Youtsey to pack boxes with the items that Yeso and Yucca collect. Mark your calendars for Thursday, November 18th, at 6:00 pm. This is such a fun night and a great fellowship opportunity! Bring a wrapped $20 gift and a delicious finger food to share!
It has come to our attention that there is a local family in need, and after prayer and discussion, we have decided we are going to be gathering wish lists for the 5 children and providing “Christmas” for them this year. Each small group will sponsor a child. What a blessing to our hearts it will be to give out of abundance and to help a family experience the love of Jesus. If you have any questions concerning this outreach opportunity contact your SGF or a director.
