This week’s HEAD-HEART-HANDS section is focused around #18 in our workbook take some time to the corresponding read verses, answer the question and reflect on what you wrote.

HEAD (memory verse):
“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.” Galatians 5:16-17, 25 ESV
HEART (prayer focus):
Repent. This is always the call, isn’t it?
Where have you been gratifying the desires of your flesh and producing rotten fruit? Like #18 asks-what sins have you confessed but neglected to address?
If you didn’t know it, the liturgical season of Lent is upon us…it began last Wednesday…
Prayerfully consider and think about things that are pushing you toward gratifying your flesh instead of pressing you into intimacy with God.
HANDS (word in action):
Give it up. Whatever God brought to mind… GIVE. IT. UP.
How long is up to you in what you feel God leading you to do.. One week, or perhaps this season of Lent. GIVE. IT. UP.
Perhaps social media is robbing you of precious time… Maybe Netflix is making you complacent to the things of the Kingdom… Maybe you have been numbing yourself in a particular food… Maybe you have been falling into the sin of gossip again and again…
WHATEVER IT IS PRODUCING ROTTEN FRUIT… GIVE. IT. UP.
CRUCIFY THE FLESH WITH IT’S PASSIONS AND DESIRES! Galatians 5:24
Confess to someone. Repent. Receive forgiveness, and ask for accountability for this thing.
